The best way to improve soil quality
Soil is the basis for the growth of vegetables. In addition to using hydroponic vegetables, we usually rely on soil to grow vegetables. When we usually say fertilizing vegetables, we actually fertilize the soil. After the soil absorbs the nutrients in the fertilizer, it is transformed into And it is provided for vegetables to absorb and utilize; to put it bluntly, fertilizer nourishes the soil, and the soil nourishes vegetables.
Therefore, if we want vegetables to grow well, we must warm and maintain the soil, which is often referred to as improving the soil. There are three methods I often use to improve the soil, which I will share with you below.

1. Base fertilizer and top dressing are multi-purpose compost.
Compost is actually what we often call farmyard manure, which is fertilizer made by fermenting vegetable leaves, weeds, peels, livestock manure, bean cakes and other materials. It contains a large number of beneficial bacteria, nutrients and crude fiber.
Frequently applying compost to the land can not only add a lot of nutrients to the soil, but the crude fiber in it can continuously change the soil structure and effectively prevent soil compaction; the beneficial bacteria contained in the compost will continue to accumulate, and then gradually devour and decompose harmful bacteria in the soil. and organic matter in the soil, gradually making the soil fluffy.
Improving the soil with compost requires a process and cannot be achieved overnight. I have used compost to improve the soil in my vegetable garden before. It took about thirty days. The vegetable plot became fluffy, breathable, and very fertile. In fact, if there is enough compost, , the more you use, the faster it will be.
Using compost to improve the soil can be used as a base fertilizer before planting, or it can be used as top fertilizer during the growth of vegetables. No matter which method is used, the soil can be improved over time.

2. Buried vegetable leaves, peels and dead leaves in the soil
The fermentation of compost takes a long time, so sometimes we don’t necessarily have that much compost. Therefore, we need to use another method to improve the soil. My common method is to bury vegetable leaves, peels, and dead leaves. These substances are buried about 25 centimeters below the soil in the vegetable field, and some bacteria can be poured in to help the soil decompose these substances. In ten days and a half, the soil can complete the decomposition of these organic substances. The soil will become very fertile.
This method is mainly used for some plots that have just been reclaimed or recently reclaimed. Of course, land that has become relatively barren can also be improved with this method. However, one thing to note is that after burying vegetable leaves, peels, dead leaves and other materials, , it needs to be used for planting vegetables after half a month.

3. Drenching Bacillus subtilis
Although compost also contains some beneficial bacteria, the quantity is not very large. Therefore, when the vegetables are growing and the soil feels relatively solid, and there is not much time to loosen the soil, or it is inconvenient to loosen the soil, you can spray it with water. Bacillus subtilis.
This inoculant contains a large number of beneficial bacteria and is extremely active. After being irrigated into the soil, it will multiply rapidly, continuously devour harmful bacteria in the soil, and at the same time decompose organic matter in the soil, which takes about 7 to 10 days. Over time, the soil will become fluffy and breathable, and the effect is very good.
Of course, just drenching Bacillus subtilis is not enough. Farmyard manure must also be used, such as the compost we mentioned above. When the two are used together, the soil can be improved faster, and the effect is very good. You may wish to give it a try.
