How to paint roses with watercolor

To draw a rose, we must first choose the colors we use: what to use for the petals, what to use for the stems, and what to use for the leaves. Once you know these main colors, it will be easy to operate.

Line drawing
When drawing line drawings, focus on the front-to-back relationship between the petals.
The center of the rose is pinkish yellow, and the petals are painted with vermilion and water.
When the water is still wet, it is a dark red color
Start from the first piece and start painting the second piece. Use the center of the flower and the petals outwards to paint slowly and carefully. Don’t be too hasty.
The edge of the petals is a big problem for many people. They are afraid that the color will be darker than the center of the flower and affect the overall beauty. If it is too light, it will not be able to express the three-dimensional sense of the picture.

Use yellow-green to draw the base of the calyx, slightly darker on both sides and lighter in the middle.
