When is a good time to plant roses
Roses prefer a warm environment and are suitable for sowing from March to April in spring. At this time, the temperature stabilizes at around 20 degrees, which is suitable for seed germination. The survival rate after planting is relatively high. They prefer a sunny environment and should not be kept indoors for a long time. If the temperature is low in winter, they need to be moved to a sunny window indoors for maintenance, and light fertilizer should also be applied during the growth period.

Introduction to Rose Planting Methods:
1. The planting method for roses is relatively simple. When they are just planted, they should not be exposed to the sun, but they should also be placed in a well lit area.
2. When planting, do not use fertilizer in the soil. Wait for the seedlings to slow down and grow some branches and leaves before gradually applying fertilizer. Do not use too much fertilizer at once and be careful to burn the seedlings. Strictly adhere to the principle of thin and frequent fertilization.
3. After planting the seedlings, it is necessary to water them more for the first time to prevent the soil above from getting damp while the soil below is still dry. If the purchased soil is too dry, it must be soaked for a few hours before being used for planting seedlings.
4. The seedlings should not be planted too deep. When they are first planted, they should be similar to what I planted before. As the roses grow, gradually add soil.
5. Watering should be done as early as possible in the morning, as watering at night can easily lead to powdery mildew and other diseases. (Watering strictly follows the principle of “no drying, no pouring, pouring thoroughly”:)

Ecological habits:
1. Temperature roses have strong adaptability and are easy to cultivate. They can be planted all over the country. In northern winter, if the temperature is too low, the leaves will fall and hibernate. If you plant them in a flowerpot, you can put them at home. When it’s too hot in the summer in the south, shading is better.
2. Light roses are photogenic plants that grow in shaded environments with thin and weak branches, yellow and thin leaves, small but not bright flowers, and even unable to bloom. Potted roses should be kept on balconies or rooftops for cultivation, and should not be kept at home for long-term cultivation. Newly planted seedlings should not be exposed to the sun. They should be placed in a cool and well lit area until new shoots grow or small leaves begin to grow before being exposed to the sun.
3. Soil roses prefer slightly acidic soil with loose and well drained soil (which is not easy to form hard lumps after watering). It is generally good to use soil from vegetable gardens or dig some roadside flower beds, which is also good.
4. When the water rose is first planted, it should be watered as much as possible for the first time, and a lot of water should flow out from the small holes at the bottom of the pot (in the future, if not watered, it should be watered to this extent). From now on, it is important to wait for the soil to dry before watering. Plant it in the yard and let it grow as it grows. If the weather is too dry, just water it when the soil dries. But it needs to be watered thoroughly every time (the soil’s water absorption rate slows down, try to water more). For the first few days after planting, spray some water every day to increase the humidity of the air and rose surface, reduce evaporation, and increase survival rate. Not spraying is also acceptable.
5. Fertilization can be applied for the first time when the newly grown branches of the seedlings are about 5 centimeters long. The amount of fertilizer can be used according to the instructions on the fertilizer bag, and a small amount of fertilizer should be applied to the seedlings. In the future, potted plants can be applied once a month. Courtyard cultivation can be applied once every two months. For those who have grown up, they can also use the urine and feces of small dogs and other animals, but the dosage should not be too large at once, otherwise it is not good.
Organic fertilizer production: Put the leftover food in a large plastic bag, pour some water inside, put a little soil in, seal it, and let it sun dry for 2 to 3 months until no odor comes out when opened. You can mix it with the soil when changing pots next year. If planted on the ground, it can be used as a base fertilizer, or you can dig a few pits next to the grown roses, put the prepared fertilizer in, and then fill it with soil. It is also possible to use leftover leaves, food, and vegetables as base fertilizer and put them in the pit during planting, but at least 30 centimeters of soil must be filled on top before planting the seedlings. And leftover food, vegetables, leaves, etc. should not be placed too much to prevent seedling burning.

Potted seedling cultivation method
1. Choose a flowerpot with an inner diameter of 24 to 30 centimeters and an inner height of 17 to 22 centimeters or larger. If it’s not convenient, you can also choose a smaller flowerpot for the seedlings, with a pot diameter of 10 centimeters or more.
2. If the soil purchased from the market is particularly dry, it should be watered first to make it sufficiently moist before being used for planting flowers. The soil excavated and placed at the edge of the roots needs to be refined. It’s best to refine everything before using it for planting.
3. Cover the small space at the bottom of the flowerpot with tiles or other things to prevent soil from blocking the small holes below and preventing water from flowing out. If there are no holes on the bottom of the container used for planting flowers, it is necessary to drill holes, otherwise the excess water flow during watering will not come out, and the seedlings will be soaked to death.
4. Add soil to the flowerpot until the soil surface is 6 to 7 centimeters away from the pot mouth. For seedlings with pots, remove the small pots and try not to loosen the soil in the pots. If the soil in the small pots is too dry, pour some water first and then remove the small pots. Place the seedlings upright in the middle of the flowerpot so that their tips come into contact with the soil surface. Hold the seedlings in one hand and add soil in the other. Gently lift the seedlings while adding soil, allowing the roots to spread out. Cover all the roots, as long as the roots are not visible, do not plant too deep as it is not conducive to the survival of seedlings. After the seedlings have survived and grown new branches and leaves, add 1 to 4 centimeters of soil. Then, gently compact the soil with your hands. Just water it.
